The Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (or FORS) is a voluntary scheme that demonstrates your company’s commitment to road safety. While it is not a compulsory accreditation, most fleet operators agree that FORS certification is essential for the growth and success of their business. Many customers will insist on their business partners being part of the scheme when conducting their due diligence process.
FORS certification is attained at three distinct levels: bronze, silver, and gold, each with its own specific vehicle safety requirements for passing. While the Bronze level merely requires adequate signage and mirrors for improved visibility, from the Silver level on, all vehicles in your fleet must have certain vehicle safety technology installed.
The equipment required to meet FORS certification standards tends to fall into two broad categories: audible warning systems and blind spot vision aids, both of which we can install for you. Typical equipment includes:
We work with both vehicle technology providers and fleet managers to install their FORS-compliant safety equipment. This is what you can expect from us:
Whatever vehicle safety technology you wish to install in your fleet vehicles, we have the skill and experience to perform a first-class job. We have teams of local engineers stationed across the country to ensure a fast and efficient service every time. All installations are fully checked prior to signing off, so your drivers can use them with confidence.
We offer a whole-life maintenance service for our clients. If your FORS-compliant equipment is damaged or disconnected during day-to-day use, we will dispatch one of our local engineers to correct the fault. We can also provide regular servicing to ensure your entire fleet’s onboard equipment is in good working order.
If vehicles in your fleet are being decommissioned, you can still make use of their in-vehicle technology. Our engineers will carefully remove any onboard equipment for you. We can then install it in another vehicle in your fleet or store it for you until you need it.
